Didier Chamizo was born on October 15, 1951. He arrived in Saint-Étienne in 1958. He began to work in the factory at the age of 13, but the future that was emerging did not please the teenager at all, who, already attracted by art, enrolled in evening classes at the School of Fine Arts in 1967.
