On September 7th, Momentum Art Gallery in Knokke hosted the opening of the unmissable French artist Patrick Rubinstein. Having collaborated with the gallery for nearly a decade, Patrick Rubinstein once again captivated collectors and art enthusiasts with his unique vision of Optical Art, at the intersection of kinetic art and pop culture.
The event took place in a friendly atmosphere, featuring activities such as an oyster tasting, a tribute to this iconic delicacy of the seaside resort nicknamed "the Saint-Tropez of the North."
Patrick Rubinstein, a pioneer of the movement he calls "Kinetic Op Art" presents dynamic works that boldly blend lines, bright colors, and precious materials, such as 22-karat gold leaf. His creations transcend the conventions of traditional art by offering an immersive visual experience that captivates viewers, inviting them to discover each piece from different angles and lighting.
The artist draws inspiration from pop culture and kinetic art, creating works that are both retro and modern, rich in references and movement. His innovative approach has made him one of the key figures in contemporary art today.
Visitors and art lovers can also discover a unique piece. Within our gallery located in Nice, a custom work has been created by Patrick Rubinstein in tribute to Henri Matisse, another great master who left his mark on the city's history. This unique piece is displayed on the ground floor of the Palais Cais de Pierlas, a historic site once inhabited by the illustrious painter.
