Bertrand Boutin
Bertrand Boutin is a French artist from the Côte d’Azur, renowned for his distinctive work in the field of animal sculpture. Trained in cabinetmaking, wood carving, and gilding at the École Supérieure d’Ébénisterie in Avignon, he established his own workshop in 2002.
Alongside his career as a master artisan, Bertrand Boutin began to emerge in 2015 as a full-fledged contemporary sculptor. His participation in the 43rd Art Fair Antibes marked his official debut as an exhibiting artist. His early works, celebrating femininity, already revealed a fluid and refined aesthetic that has since become his signature style.
Today, Bertrand Boutin stands out in the field of contemporary animal sculpture, with resin and bronze creations defined by elegant lines inspired by the marine and animal world. Stylized manta rays and sharks make up a poetic and sophisticated bestiary. Through these forms, the artist explores themes such as grace, strength, softness, and respect for nature.
His limited-edition sculptures blend artisanal expertise with contemporary expression, appealing to art lovers seeking works that are both decorative and meaningful. Each creation by Bertrand Boutin is conceived as an encounter between dream and substance, between material mastery and pure emotion.
Bertrand Boutin is represented by Momentum Art Gallery, based in Nice (France) and Knokke (Belgium). His works naturally find their place in exhibitions centered on themes such as the environment, the sea, and the bond between humans and animals.
