Giuliano De Luca
Giuliano De Luca (Ostend, 1995) is a Belgian artist with Italian roots who translates the world of motorsport into contemporary art. In 2016 he graduated in Digital Arts and Entertainment in Kortrijk, where he built a strong foundation in 2D and 3D techniques. After his studies he worked as a jewellery designer and settled in Antwerp, where he lives and works today. Momentum Art Gallery represents his work and presents art where speed, heritage and craftsmanship come together.
Every piece starts from the history of a legendary racing car. De Luca looks for the historic element that gave the car its pedigree and builds it into the form itself. In his Le Mans series, the layout of the Circuit de la Sarthe becomes the structure of the sculpture: the corners and straights where cars like the Ferrari 250 SWB and the Mercedes 300SL wrote their racing history together shape the car's abstract silhouette. The sculptures are finished in quartz sand, which gives them a mineral texture. Combined with aluminium and wood, they take on a modern finish.
At the end of 2024, De Luca began turning his passion for motorsport into visual art. Soon after, he was invited to the Silverstone Art Programme, and in June 2025 he was selected for the International Art Fair of Venice.
At Momentum Art Gallery we present a selection of his sculptural work. Each sand sculpture is released in a limited edition of six numbered copies, each signed by the artist. His work is made for those looking for art that unites racing history, design and craftsmanship.
