Nadia Cascini
NADIA CASCINI, born in Arezzo in 1970, is the daughter of two goldsmiths passionate about the craft of art and metalwork. Her passion for art developed early on when she attended the prestigious Art College of Arezzo, graduating in the field of metal and jewelry, an area in which Italy excels.
During her years of study, Nadia began to explore painting, refining her skills through several drawing schools in Arezzo. In the 1980s, she participated in numerous art competitions across Italy, consistently standing out by winning multiple first prizes.
In 1999, in Marina di Ravenna, Nadia Cascini was awarded twice in competitions where she was the only woman among 90 competitors. This recognition highlighted her exceptional talent in the world of art.
By the late 1990s, Nadia had developed an international career, collaborating with art galleries in France, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands. She exhibited landscape paintings, figurative compositions, and representations of Venice, which she shaped in a personal and profound way over the years. Her works reflect the richness of Italian art, with a particular focus on the light and colors that characterize the beauty of Italian landscapes.
In her paintings, Nadia works meticulously with light, layering successive coats of color to capture the magic of Italy. Her canvases reveal a subtle interplay between the real, the imaginary, and the magical, merging nature with a unique artistic vision. She draws inspiration from traditional Italian art while experimenting with contemporary techniques.
Through oil painting, Nadia Cascini layers particularly rich tones, creating mysterious works that provoke and captivate. Her style is characterized by fine details and carefully crafted light, transforming her canvases into true works of art that are both poetic and dynamic.
For many years now, her works have been exhibited in prestigious art galleries in Singapore, New York, and throughout Europe, affirming her place in the international contemporary art scene.
Living in the heart of Tuscany, Nadia Cascini considers herself fortunate to be in a region that embodies the very soul of Italian art. The Tuscan landscapes, vibrant colors, classical architecture, famous personalities, and the history of this region are legacies she has absorbed since childhood.
Enriched by a training in goldsmithing, a true family inheritance, Nadia has over the years developed a way of thinking about her works in images, inspired by the places she represents. She personalizes the elegant palette of the seasons and the light that defines the Italian landscape, particularly that of Tuscany.
The seemingly randomness of the backgrounds in her works is in fact the result of ongoing research and a deep passion for art. Every detail, every light, every brushstroke guides her work, transforming each canvas into a unique artistic creation, where dream and mystery merge in perfect harmony.
