END OF THE YEAR

The End of 2024 Marks a Turning Point for Momentum Art Gallery

At the end of this year, Momentum Art Gallery is celebrating significant changes and ambitious initiatives that solidify its reputation as a place for creation and artistic innovation.

An Immersive Room: A Modern Project

Starting in early November, Momentum Art Gallery began renovations to create a new immersive room. Designed to transform the visitor experience, this space will feature interactive and multisensory art installations that push the boundaries of contemporary art. "We want our visitors to be immersed at the heart of the artwork, experiencing a fusion of aesthetics and technology," explains Lea Marciano, the gallery's director.

This new experience, set to be inaugurated in December, promises to add a fresh and immersive dimension to contemporary art in Nice. The renovations are designed to respect the building’s original architecture while incorporating light plays, making Momentum Art Gallery unique in the region.

Welcoming Four New Artists: Sylvia Berton, Peter Demetz, Elisa Anfuso, and Alessandro Sannino

Momentum Art Gallery is proud to welcome four internationally recognized artists:

  • Sylvia Berton, a French artist renowned for her vibrant and expressive paintings, explores the interconnection between humans and their environment.
  • Peter Demetz, an Italian sculptor known for his incredibly realistic wood sculptures, brings a unique vision that blends tradition and modernity. His detailed, emotional pieces will enrich the gallery's programming in Knokke Le-Zoute, inviting visitors to contemplate the complexity of human forms and their implicit narratives.
  • Elisa Anfuso, an Italian artist famous for her dreamlike and poetic paintings, integrates surreal and narrative elements that captivate the imagination. Her works invite viewers to reflect on dreams and the dualities of the human condition.
  • Alessandro Sannino, a contemporary artist with bold approaches, combines materials and textures to create highly original pieces. His works explore the symbiosis between the natural and the synthetic, offering an innovative perspective on shapes and materials.

A Year Marked by Evolution

The year 2024 has been defined by a desire for renewal and expansion in the gallery’s artistic offerings, such as an exhibition in partnership with the city of Nice and artist Andrea Roggi. Other new highlights include the integration of prominent artists like Nimrod Messeg with his graceful sculptures, Nadia Cascini with her round canvases, and Kiko Miyares with his optical totems.

Between the creation of this unprecedented immersive room and the inclusion of new talents, Momentum Art Gallery confirms its position as a pioneer in the world of contemporary art in Nice and beyond.
